Objective: To make inferences
Albert is doing his favorite thing: spying on his neighbors! He hides and watches people without their knowledge, trying to figure out what's going on. But Gertrude, a neighbor with a rather unfriendly mood, has unmasked the little spy! She's furious and threatens to go to the neighborhood party to warn everyone that the boy is spying on them! Help Albert spy on his neighbor and get on stage before his angry neighbor so he can grab the microphone!
Operation Spy is designed to encourage children aged 3.5 to 6.5 years to develop the ability to make inferences, or to deduce information that is not explicitly provided in a situation. Children answer questions about, for example, the problem, goal, action, or emotion of a character in a given situation. This helps them learn to make inferences, a skill that will be particularly useful at school for understanding texts.
The game includes 84 inference question cards covering:
- a character's problem;
- the emotion or internal state of a character;
- the cause of a situation or the effect of that cause;
- what will happen next in a situation;
- a character's goal;
- attempts to solve a problem;
- the action, speech or thought of a character;
- the place of a situation.
- Level 1 questions focus on a character's problem, goal, or action, as well as the emotion they feel in a given situation. The child is also encouraged to make some inferences about the cause of an emotion or situation (e.g., Why is the girl laughing?).

At level 2, questions are added about attempts to solve a character's problem and what might happen as a result of a given situation (e.g., What could the character do to solve their problem? What will happen?).
At Level 3, the child often has to imagine the hypothetical outcome of a situation illustrated on the card. They are also encouraged to make inferences about where a situation is (or will be) taking place and about the internal state of a character in a hypothetical situation (e.g.: Imagine that the boy passes the girl in line. What emotion do you think the girl will feel?).
Delivery and returns
Terms
An exchange or refund may be granted if the following conditions are met, within 30 days of the purchase date:
- By sending the product by post (at the buyer's expense) with a copy of the invoice or the order number.
- Returned products must be undamaged and unused, in their original condition and packaging. In other words: in a condition suitable for resale!
- Clearance items with a discount of more than 30% will be considered final sale.
Exceptions
For safety and/or hygiene reasons, the following products cannot be returned or exchanged:
- Teething toys
- Hygiene products
- Items for sale and special orders
- Items that have been assembled or modified
- Safety equipment
- Bedding
- Swimsuits
- Themed/Seasonal Articles
If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can find a solution or compensate you.
Procedure for returning merchandise
You have two options for returning merchandise:
A) Return at customer's expense
The customer has the option of choosing their own courier service, at their own expense. Simply indicate the order number directly on the package, and send it to the following postal address: 9250 Avenue du Parc, Unit 222, Montreal QC H2N 1Z2.
B) Return with prepaid label
Here are the steps to follow:
- Contact us at info@leoludo.ca specifying the order number and the items you wish to return.
- We will email you a prepaid return label. Place the items in the shipping box or bag, print the return label, and affix it to the package.
- Inform us by email of the day and 3-hour time slot of your choice, and we will send a delivery person to pick up the package from your home.
A fee of $12 (+ taxes) will be deducted from the refund amount to cover return shipping costs.
Return packaging – Important
To avoid breakage during transport, all items must be returned in a cardboard shipping box.
❌ No returns will be accepted if the return label is affixed directly to the product packaging.
❌ Items packaged only in brown paper, plastic film or non-protective bag will not be accepted.
✅ Any cardboard box will do — reused delivery boxes (e.g., Amazon) are perfectly acceptable.
Any item received damaged due to inadequate packaging may be refused or returned to the customer without a refund.
Refund
Please allow 10 working days for the receipt and inspection of returned items, after which the amount will be refunded to the same payment method used for the purchase.
The customer is responsible for return shipping costs on all exchanged or returned merchandise, except for damaged items. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
